Moves Reinforce Financial Discipline and Operational Execution as Company Scales
Phospholutions, a fertilizer technology company that enhances the efficiency, performance, and sustainability of phosphorus fertilizers, is today announcing a series of leadership appointments as the company enters its next phase of growth. The moves come as phosphorus has been designated a U.S. critical mineral, with supply increasingly constrained and price volatility rising. As it bolsters its leadership team, Phospholutions has:
- Appointed Justin Archibee as Chief Financial Officer,
- Promoted Michael Castiglione to Chief Operating Officer,
- Promoted Steve Levitsky to Chief Administrative and Sustainability Officer, and
- Added Weston Heide, an agribusiness executive with The Andersons, to its Board of Directors
With prior finance leadership roles at The Mosaic Company, Walt Disney World, and Publix Super Markets, Justin Archibee joins Phospholutions to lead the build-out of the company’s financial infrastructure and capital strategy as it scales. As Chief Financial Officer, he will oversee financial planning, capital allocation, and long-term strategy as the company expands adoption of its phosphorus-efficiency technology.
“Phospholutions is strengthening its management team to support our next phase of scale and help the fertilizer ecosystem operate more efficiently, from manufacturer through to the farmer,” said Hunter Swisher, Chief Executive Officer of Phospholutions. “We’re building Phospholutions to help create a global agricultural system where every pound of phosphorus is used wisely, supply chains are resilient, and farmers can rely on predictable, cost-effective nutrient performance.”
Alongside Archibee’s appointment, Phospholutions promoted Michael Castiglione to Chief Operating Officer, expanding his leadership role as the company scales up its commercial operations. Castiglione has been instrumental in Phospholutions’ growth, driving execution across manufacturing partnerships, distribution strategy, and raw material procurement.
In conjunction with this, Steve Levitsky has been promoted to Chief Administrative and Sustainability Officer, expanding his role as the company scales. In this position, he will oversee internal operations, risk management, and sustainability initiatives, bringing his extensive experience in sustainability to support disciplined, responsible growth across compliance, facilities, and environmental health and safety.
The appointment of Weston Heide to its Board of Directors adds downstream, operator-level perspective from one of North America’s most established agribusiness organizations. Heide brings nearly two decades of experience across grain, nutrient distribution, and agricultural supply chains, reinforcing Phospholutions’ focus on improving efficiency within existing systems rather than relying on increased extraction.
